Intern - Corporate Partnerships - Forty Niners Stadium Management Company (Santa Clara, CA)

Overview:

The Corporate Partnerships Intern will assist the Corporate Partnerships Department (Services & Sales) with projects related to partnership sales and services. The position will be responsible for numerous projects including but not limited to: partnership research, partnership recaps and data collection, execution of contracted inventory items, oversight of game day interns. This position is expected to work approximately 30-35 hours per week and be at all home games as well as other events as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Partnership Sales/Services team with all projects related to corporate partnerships
  • Support the Sales team by gathering research for potential prospects
  • Support the Services team with the preparation, production and data collection of end-of-season partner recap reports
  • Produce Radio, TV and Web affidavits
  • Manage the department merchandise and memorabilia inventory
  • Help manage and create schedules for the Corporate Partnerships Gameday Interns
  • Assist with partner activation and fulfillment on game days and Levi’s® Stadium events
  • Assist with capturing and organizing photos of partner activations during game days and Levi’s® Stadium events
  • Aid the Sales and Services team with escorting partner executives and contest winners to VIP areas
  • Help execute partner events and marketing events, when needed
  • Assist with any projects and other administrative duties related to corporate partnerships (mailings, reports, filing, etc.)

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor degree from a four-year accredited college/university or currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university required

  • Must be able to work weekends, nights and all 49ers home games
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Basic knowledge of photography and editing photos is preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to handle pressure, deadlines and last minute requests
  • Recognized for great work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
  • Recognized as a team player
  • Demonstrates ability to handle several projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, written and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
  • Previous job/internship experience within the sports industry is preferred

Production Intern - San Francisco 49ers (Santa Clara, CA)

General Statement of Duties: Serve as an intern to the 49ers in-house production team 49ers Studios (FNS).  Will assist and act as point-of-contact with 49ers media partners in all technical and format issues of 49ers programming.  Assist producers in the development of all in-house programming elements (editing, shooting, design, research.)  Act as an extension of the producers for weekly and daily needs.

Areas of Responsibility:

-          Assist in the production/post production of FNS television, web and stadium productions.

-          Act as point of contact for 49ers.com.  Produce web content, population of site, editorial work, live
           production point of contact.

-          Assist and act as point-of-contact with 49ers television and radio partners on all technical and format
           issues.

-          Perform tasks as needed (live production, shooting, sound recording, gripping, edit direction, color
           correction, audio editing and mixing.)

-          Act as liaison between producers, working on multiple projects weekly across platforms (Live
           broadcasts, on-air broadcasts and multimedia.)

-          Have familiarity with all production gear, maintain studio, gear and production areas.

-          Work along producers to manage and log footage.  Work with team’s archive and historical footage data
           base.

-          Perform additional duties as assigned from time-to-time by Senior Producer, Producers and Vice
           President / Executive Producer.

    

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in the broadcast field is required.  Knowledge of broadcast equipment needed. Strong understanding of post-production, field/studio/location-production, non-linear editing knowledge a must – Adobe Premiere desired.  Demonstrated good communication and learning skills.  Versatility, organization, responsibility and dependability an absolute must.

Intern - Community Relations - San Francisco 49ers (Santa Clara, CA)

DESCRIPTION:  The San Francisco 49ers Community Relations Department is currently seeking a season long intern to join the Club in support of their philanthropic outreach efforts.

PURPOSE:  To provide a hard-working, dedicated candidate with an internship opportunity to experience the work environment of the 49ers Community Relations Department and the San Francisco 49ers Foundation during a full season.  Upon completion of the internship, it is our hope that the knowledge gained is one that provides great value and experience that will support future career endeavors in the sports industry.

DUTIES:  The following is a general list of duties pertaining to the community relations internship.  This list may change based on the needs throughout the internship or tasks related to completing a particular assignment:

  • Position is located in Santa Clara with game day and community responsibilities throughout Silicon Valley with occasional events in San Francisco and other Bay Area locales.
  • Intern will work a 25-30 hour week (with the potential to be transitioned to full-time) and will be required to work frequent weekends, all 49ers home game days, and occasional evenings. Must be able to work on designated community days (typically Mondays) and preparation days (typically Tuesdays and Fridays) during the season and all community events.
  • Intern will assist with all duties that pertain to 49ers community and foundation events inclusive of gameday activations, community outreach events, Foundation fundraisers, and youth football programming.  Intern will also assist with occasional marketing and sponsorship events.
  • Intern will respond to community and 49ers Foundation requests via phone, e-mail, and mail
  • Intern will assist with coordinating player involvement with various community events and activities.
  • Intern will assist CR and PR staff with drafting and editing stories, tweets, photo blogs, videos and posts and other media and social media outreach efforts.
  • Intern will assist in maintaining database of community appearances, donations and inventory.
  • Intern will manage donation request fulfillment and the Champions Program.
  • Intern will have the opportunity to take leadership role on community events including responsibility for conceptualizing, managing and executing a community event during the season.

EXPECTATIONS: The following contributions are required of the 49ers CR intern:

  • Professionalism in all interactions with fans, corporate partners, fellow 49ers staff members and 49ers players, alumni, executives and coaches
  • Availability on designated community days (typically Mondays) and all community events and home games during the 2016 season
  • Responsible for providing their own housing in the Bay Area
  • Punctuality and accountability is essential for all aspects of intern role

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are reviewed based on the following:

  • Have graduated from or are seeking a degree from a 4-year higher education institution (or the equivalent in work experience)
  • Prior experience in Sport Management is highly recommended, but not required
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal – are essential and required.  A writing sample will be requested following review of qualifications.  Strong editing skills are also required.
  • Involvement in campus leadership activities, college sports, club sports is preferred
  • Prior experience in the sport/leisure industry recommended, but not required
  • Prior experience in community service and customer service is highly desired
  • Prior experience working with youth and a high degree of enthusiasm and comfort level for interacting with young people in the community is essential
  • Event planning experience is highly desired
  • Driver's License, record in good standing and insurance required
