Revenue Accountant - San Francisco 49ers (Santa Clara, CA)
Oversee accounts receivable function:
Manage all invoicing for sponsorships and luxury suites.
Review and analyze sponsorship and broadcast contracts in order to accurately reconcile gross annual revenue amounts, and track corresponding payment schedules.
Manage daily/weekly bank deposits and reconcile cash daily.
Review accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due accounts.
Respond to all W-9 and supplier registration inquiries.
Work with Director, Accounting to maintain credit and collections policies.
Serve as main liaison with internal and external customers for accounts receivable.
Review and analyze sponsorship and broadcast contracts for compliance with company and League policies.
Work with Corporate Partnerships to manage revenue allocation and recognition.
Evaluate proposed barter sponsorships for fair market value and department budget compliance. Work with budget owners to appropriately apply barter credit amounts.
Prepare and update monthly revenue reports.
Handle timely completion of League revenue reporting.
Review and reconcile monthly retail store P&L statements.
Manage revenue recognition, collection, and reconciliations related to stadium concessionaire.
Prepare journal entries.
Assist with the monthly close as well as month-end/year-end financial reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare audit schedules and assist with the external audit process.
Perform various other administrative duties and special projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2-3 years of revenue accounting experience.
Experience with Great Plains accounting system or equivalent preferred.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Professional sports team experience a plus.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong customer service and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to interact with people of all different levels and backgrounds.
Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
