Senior Financial Analyst - San Francisco Forty Niners (Santa Clara, CA)

 Job description

The San Francisco 49ers are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team.  The FP&A function is a critical component within the Finance department, and this role reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be expected to interface regularly with the Accounting Team and various department heads. 

Responsibilities
·         Assist with the annual operating and capital budget preparation process
·         Prepare and analyze post-event financial summaries for both NFL and non-NFL events
·         Generate and analyze monthly departmental operating expense reports
·         Proactively investigate unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations with departmental heads and/or Accounting team. 
·         Make recommendations to improve the quality and relevance of financial information
·         Assist with the evaluation of budgeting software and report writing systems
·         Build ad hoc financial reports as needed for management analysis

Desired Skills and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or equivalent required.  MBA preferred.
·         6-10 years of relevant work experience
·         Advanced modeling and Excel skills
·         General ledger, budgeting software, and report writing experience required; Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus. 
·         Collaborative style and track record of building positive working relationships at all levels of an organization
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Detail oriented, well organized, with the ability to manage a variety of recurring finance responsibilities ·         Ability to work in a high-energy environment and deliver within tight deadlines

Finance: Payroll
Payroll Specialist - San Francisco Forty Niners (Santa Clara, CA)

The Payroll Specialist reports to the Payroll Manager and assists with processing staff, player, and event payrolls.  This position will also have some Accounts Payable responsibilities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Accurately and timely process payroll for staff, players, and event employees and maintain payroll information as required.

Process manual timesheets.

Review and import data for game day staff and other part-time staff from NOVAtime system.

Enter data for all employee maintenance information as needed.

Maintain employee files.

Process payroll taxes and other deductions and benefits as needed.

Assist Accounts Payable as directed.

Other

Various other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communications skills.

Ability to multi-task, meet stringent deadlines, and prioritize.

High energy self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to work well with a variety of personalities.

Commitment to delivering first class internal and external customer service.

Willingness to work extended hours as needed.

 

Skills/Experience

 

3-5 years of experience processing payroll in-house.

Knowledge of California labor laws.

Experience with multi-state payroll processing preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics software or equivalent.

Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

NFL or professional sports team experience a plus.

Experience with SuccessFactors HRIS or NOVAtime a plus.

Process payroll taxes and other deductions and benefits as needed.

Annual W-2 reporting.

Other
Various other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
